The view is just as bad @ Chappelle JCT. To get photos like this: http://tinyurl.com/5q8275 required a 15-20 minute hike, hence costing at least 1 CN train.
I'm guessing this was 673, I saw him staged @ Sutherland later @ 8:00pm. CP 8528 with 8702-9603 mid-train.

The view isn't that bad. It just goes to show that all the trains in Saskatoon can be seen from one place!

Correct - except for the Sutherland sub, Rosetown sub and those Watrous sub trains that terminate in Saskatoon from the West (Biggar turn etc.) Great spot regardless!
