He's waiting for a yellow @ Riverview, to follow 346, with 347 + MP188 yard switcher waiting to head West.
Normally I'm not too exited about unit grain trains, as long as they're not hauling junk up front. But add a BCOL SD40-2 and it makes all...

CEFX 117 was relaxing in the South, along with other SD90MAC's in UP's massive fleet, when CP decided to leaase them again.
That paint sure is hard to spot in the snow.

One of those draper's better be dead, as all the other trains I've seen on CN lately had two engines, yet this lumber empties gets a trio of pretty good power.
CN 630 tramp job (CN Industrial, MP 188) heads home with 5 cars, slowly following CN 347.

CN 346 is about to cover me from head to toe. Although hard to see due to 'weather conditions' this is the river bridge: http://tinyurl.com/2mkrdd
Sadly, I was not able to get the 2nd units number, although I think its CN 2584, Dash 9-44CW. CN 8011 SD70M-2 sure makes for a good plow with that...
It should be an oxymoron, a non-museum, operational CN unit wearing the fresh zebra paint sheme - yet here it is! Perhaps its CN's version of a heritage unit. A number of widecab Geeps have been getting their original paint touched up lately. You can clearly see the shine, when comparing to the...
CP has converted a number of old cabooses into MOW Transporters - notable for their white paint, rock-resistent windows and being spotted on work trains. Compare to this CP regular, standing across from hom, both have graffiti!

A couple months ago I posted this photo of CN 560 as "CN Classic": http://tinyurl.com/2yqu82
Today the scene repeated with three Geeps! Two GP38-2W's sandwitching a GP38-2, all in classic zebra paint...
Until this year Sutherland had everything you'd want at the shops - a snowplow, TRACKMOBILE, switchers, etc. but still lacked a caboose.
On July 18th, this old cab came into town, and has been sitting at the shops ever since. He is most likely a Regina transfer, as they had three sitting...
Two SD90MAC's are backing up to couple to an ES44AC (CP 8745) to help switch their train. The ES44AC was then dropped and went down on a potash run to Regina.
According to the Canadian Trackside Guide, this is the oldest snow plow still in service. CP 400879, 1910 model, is assigned to Bredenbury, SK. Her he is on the tail of a W/B manifest, most likely on his way to Alyth or Moose Jaw for servicing/demolishion. Compared to the local...
They sure have joined forces, if you believe this hopper. At least half a dozen in the yard, most likely ex-EEC's or GCCX's, CP has had many ex-CNW PS-2's go through wearing those reporting marks, most still wearing CNW's logo and paint.
This way when UP takes over, they'll get their old...

CN 104, with a pretty crappy consist, is leaving the city, with competition (CP 104 naturally) only a couples miles back.

Until recently 313 was a regular manifest with a bit of everything. Now that the Prince Rupert terminal is open - there are boxes up front!
The train proceeded to work Saskatoon yard for at least two hours. Great way to serve those Intermodal customers!

Apparently there's such a thing. A cut of three on 347, surrounded by 105 center-beams and 15 other cars.
Before today I thought only narrow gauge lines still had these. Note the faded out # (the other two were BCOL 10359 & 10426?) and red color on the inside of the forks. Tree bark...
