Its early morning - crews work hard to replace the switch off the Watrous sub onto the Warman sub (PNL route). As you can see clearly in the photo, the mainline is split. I think they installed an automatic turnout, so that CN 303/314 dont need to bother the yard and take a good half hour away from the mainline congestion aligning switches. The turnout hasnt done much good so far, as the Warman sub switch still needs to be thrown manually. Prior to this year, aside from derailment detours, the Chappelle JCT East end wye switch in question was hardly ever used. Im pretty sure they took out the QEW and Madison spur switches while in the area. The MOW forces were the only ones using them anyway, as traffic stopped flowing many years ago.

Yep, that was a replacement for an old automatic that stopped working.
