JR series 300, Tokaido shinkansen

This EMU is JR series 300, manufactured since 1992, top operational speed is 270Km/H (168mph). JR Central and West operates Super express KODAMA and HIKARI in JR Tokaido and Sanyo shinkansen line bound for Shin-osaka or Hakata from Tokyo.
Okay, so is there some sort of long-term contest in Japan for manufacturing passenger trainsets with wild styling? I'm gonna have to send Mayor Daley (Chicago) to Japan so we can get our act together with METRA and CTA in the style department, not to mention the speed category.
Mr.FRN, that's good idea. Because, there's no push-pull train with double decker in Japan and I wanna see METRA and CTA fleet. :)
