The nose patch on UP 1386 has fallen off, and the paint on its flanks is faded - just like an SP should be! Without the yellow patches, this lashup would be more reminiscent of SP in the late 80's. Hard to believe it's 2009.
Dwindling traffic on the UP's Santa Cruz branch has reduced the frequency of this local to only once a week. There is only a handful of customers remaining on the line.
