The Eyes And Ears For The Engineer
BNSF 2712 with three other GEEPS,the power for the CHERRY POINT LOCAL,makes a reverse move from the BNSF Bellingham Sub main where it left its string of empties into the INTALCO Yard at Custer,WA to pick up a string of ARCO/BP loaded hoppers. The Conductor and Brakeman ride the last trailing GEEP which is now in the lead. They are the eyes and ears for the Engineer in BNSF 2712 which was the lead locomotive.
Never heard any chatter on the scanner of them going to the Ferndale refineries, but would think they do.
