Identical sister units 2674, 2683, 2686 & 2687 were utilized on the Meadow Lake branch prior to its demise. I even spotted them on the HBR in the Pas this summer, but didn't bother getting #s down or taking pictures as I've already seen him & sister 2135 in Denver working on the UP.
Category: Lease Units, Demonstrators, Specials etc.
Note the evolution of the HBR paintsheme over the last decade. The frame stripes are now thicker, as well nose stripes are now white vs. lime on older units. CN & Omnitrax corporate paints present as well naturally.

The 15s aren't bad either.
None of these engines are UP originals. From top to...
The NS had a set of SD40-2 HLCX lease units running around Indiana in December. HLCX was shot on the WSRY railroad at Clymers, IN. The WSRY connects into the NS Wabash at Clymers. Photo taken on old school K64 film.

Here is HLCX #3839 along with the UP #5261 sitting at CEECO along with the Milwaukee Road E unit sitting on the south side of the property.. #3839 looks like it was just painted and emerged from the paint booth that very same day..
