White Pass 98

White Pass and Yukon 98 fresh out of Ceeco paint shop
One of 11 (WP&Y 90-100) built by GE between 1954 and 1966. Feature 6 cyl Alco 251 prime movers rated at between 800 and 900 HP, weigh between 84 and 86 tons, and are DB equipped.
 
90 and 98 are rebuilt with cummins qsk gensets, rated at arond 200 hp and ballasted to almost 200 ton. theory was to eliminate the need for three locomotives and use only two upgraded 90 series to pull a passenger train up and over the line.
