In 1995 Wisconsin Central took over Algoma Central - this resulted in the acquisition of 11 classic F units (10 ex-CN) for the tourist train. ACR Geeps were used for the task prior. When CN took over WC in 2001, all the F units were retired and replaced by CN GP40-2LWs.

An A+B set was donated to Edmonton, with the CP unit going to Squamish, the rest of the fleet was sold to Pioneer Rail (two retired by WC before CN took over).
