One Chance, One Train

The family was gathering in Bellingham for Mrs. NP1232's mom's birthday and it takes about 2 hours of riding ferrys and driving to get there. As we crossed over the BNSF Bellingham Sub just north of Burlington, the CN 5746 passed under. Because we were running on time, Mrs. NP1232 authorized a detour to the AMTK station at Fairhaven for a photo op. Within a few minutes of our arrival, in a driving rain storm, the CN unit eases around the curve slowing to a stop for red block just south of the station. One chance, one train, then off to the party.

Happy 80th Mom.

Intersting shot. I see that quite often, maybe the same train too.

Those are covered gondolas. CN has so many of them.

Tell her thanks for stopping and allowing you your one chance. Worth it to me!
