A late fall day at the IRM. Perfect weather. I was walking around with another photograper,concentating on shooting macro work. This scene just caught my eye and I had to try to make it work. Let me know what you think.

CN 560 heads out with the CN 4798. The track crews were putting in a new switch on the main near Lorne avenue, so he had to take the siding around the site. The CN 112 was right in front of him.
Local units 4796 and 4782 had nothing left to do, and began to wander the yards. Atleast thats what they said. They were later sent to do work on the Rosetown sub.
CN 520 apparently didn't have anything to bring back from Clavet, so he ran to the yard light. CN 4703 was on the point, with 4796 and 4782. And yet, no caboose!
Where in Canada can one find an ex-CN SLQ M420(W) with a mix of ex-CP & ex-CN ballast cars? HBR in North Manitoba and CTRW in North Saskatchewan naturally. Not sure how this train got to Montreal, must have taken a wrong turn somewhere LOL. Just love such museum scenes - as good as seing the...
