CP 1569, one of many GP9u's used by CP for switching, ussually in pairs, sits in the yard. Since the train is facing eastward, there's a small chance that it came from the nearby St. James Industrial park, which used to be served by CN unit they pulled up their tracks because of fewer customers...
CP 6031, SD40-2, along with a SOO SD40-2 (?) move across the station, as an eastbound grain train, lead by two SD40-2's, passes them, across the coal train. Note the MOW crew to the right.
Two GP38-2's, CP 3095 & 3073, lead a branchline local. The train is crossing the CN mainline as it crosses the suburbs of Winnipeg. The power for the local is always Geeps, GP9u's, GP38-2's, GP35 slugs...

CN 7273, GP9RM and a GP9 slug are pulling 1/2 dozen cars through the industries. One of my first digital photos. Glad I could catch it in action. The local runs a couple times per week.

Athabasca Northern 4009, ex-CN GP9RM being foreign power on CEMR (another shortline), who operates more ex-CN GP9RM's - all on the CN mainline. Both shortlines are owned by CANDO, the locomotive was sandwitched in a triple GP9RM lash-up.

RLK 1757 (nee PRR 7092), GP10, is being transferred from Mackenzie Northern Railway to sister operation Southern Ontario railway. Mackenzie Northern has since been purchased back by CN.
