This old SD40 rests on the dead line next to SOO 755 (SD40), CP 5580 (SD40-2), St L&H 5448 (SD40-2) in the backround and CP 5689 (SD40-2). They're all in Winnipeg to be scrapped.

CN crew works in winter and spring. If you look really carefuly, you'll notice that the slugs are different. In the top photo it's YBU-4, in the bottom one it's a S-3. Most often it's a GP9 slug though. The power is always GP9RM.

CN 2727 (2005 Dash 9-44CW, rebuild CN 2667) & BC Rail 763 (SD40-2) lead an intemrodal, as they perform switching before heading out west. You can see the mainline in the backround.
50 SD40-3's just like this one (rebuilt CN SD40's) have been around CN for a while now. But recently they've been all bought back by CN and are being patched up and renumberedas WC. Most are still in the GCFX sheme though.

Being a big rolling stock fan I searched throuhg my collection of a couple hundred "beaten" car shots and this is still the best IMHO. Whether it's SOO's white paint that exposes all the rust or the cars longivity, these boxcars can be found everywhere, often in this livery.

Birds often eat near hoppers and fly away when I or a Geep approaches. However this guy decided to stay, as I zoomed in on the logo of this rare Family Lines hopper.

I railfanned in a 2 places today, catching CN, CP, CEFX, SOO, BC Rail, & GCFX (WC).
The reason I chose this shot, is because it's a regular train with nothing special about it, exept for the non-CN trailing unit.
