  1. City pair

    City pair

CN 2727 (2005 Dash 9-44CW, rebuild CN 2667) & BC Rail 763 (SD40-2) lead a westbound intemrodal on the mainline.
  2. GCFX 6072

    GCFX 6072

50 SD40-3's just like this one (rebuilt CN SD40's) have been around CN for a while now. But recently they've been all bought back by CN and are being patched up and renumberedas WC. Most are still in the GCFX sheme though.
  3. BC Rail 4624

    BC Rail 4624

BC Rail Dash 8-40CMu's are now the most common foreign power on CN. It used to be GCFX/WC SD40-3's. Oddly it was trailing a CN Dash 8-40CM.
  4. Made in 2005

    Made in 2005

CN 2727, Dash 9-44CW, rebuild CN 2667, is just two weeks old here.
  5. BC Rail 763

    BC Rail 763

BC Rail 763, SD40-2, trailing CN 2727 on a westbound intermodal.
  6. BC Rail SD40-2

    BC Rail SD40-2

BC Rail 763 looks fine no matter where it goes.
  7. CN logo

    CN logo

What looks like a SD70I/SD75I is on many CN containers, being a one unit wonder pulling an intermodal.
  8. Wheels...

    Wheels...

Living in a major RR hub both for CN, CP & VIA, I see wheel movements quite often, ussually they're on platforms that are on mixed trains. CN however occasionally put them up on intermodals as in this case.
  9. CN Dash 9-44CW

    CN Dash 9-44CW

After seing more then 60 of these, I finally got a roster that I'm happy with. Leading a BC Rail SD40-2 helped.
  10. BC Rail 750 (SD40-2)

    BC Rail 750 (SD40-2)

Until recently these units could only be found in BC or as lessors, when BC Rail sold them. Now CN runs them on Intermodals!
  11. Daily lumber

    Daily lumber

I railfanned in a 2 places today, catching CN, CP, CEFX, SOO, BC Rail, & GCFX (WC). The reason I chose this shot, is because it's a regular train with nothing special about it, exept for the non-CN trailing unit.
  12. BLE again

    BLE again

It seems BLE 903 is now permanently stock in Canada, this time ttrailing CN 2401 on an eastbound lumber train.
  13. Ordinary world

    Ordinary world

Original GP9 in everyday service, running daily on the mainline. Sometimes long-hood forward.
  14. Track Inspection

    Track Inspection

Modern track inspection is ussually done in hi-rail trucks, like this one. While they look cool, they did replace the motorcars.
  15. VIA 6444

    VIA 6444

I was trying to get a "curve shot", but I zoomed in too much, coming up with this roster instead. VIA 6444 & 6435, both F40PH-2's, leading VIA #2, eastbound Canadian.
  16. BLE 903 - SD40T-3

    BLE 903 - SD40T-3

    BLE 903, SD40T-3, rebuild ex-SP SD45T-2, trailing CN 5251, SD40-2(W). Sure looks pretty.
  17. BLE guest on CN

    BLE guest on CN

    BLE 903, SD40T-3, rebuild ex-SP SD45T-2, trailing CN 5251, SD40-2(W). Sure looks pretty.
  18. CEMR local

    CEMR local

Curently CEMR owns 7 ex-CN GP9RM's and 3 ex-CP SW1200 series locos (or something close), yet all they send my way in CEMR 4001 & 4002, the GP9RM's I've been catching since 2003. Oh well, they do look good though.
  19. Rio Grande on CN

    Rio Grande on CN

DRGW, SD40T-2, tunnel motor has made it all the way to Canada, on a CN Intermodal. CN isn't big on foreign power, so this was a real nice catch, heading on an eastbound.
  20. Mainline meet in the Rain

    Mainline meet in the Rain

As the local returns from the cement plant, it's being passed by an eastbound. Power: CN 2626 & 2531 (Dash 9-44CW's) and an unidentified CN SD75I or SD70I. The power for the local: CN 271 (GP9 slug) CN 7267 (GP9RM)
