Here is the result of some afternoon railfanning along San Pablo Bay in Rodeo, CA. This is Lone Tree Point, an East Bay Regional Park. It's a safe and interesting place to view trains.

The Southern Pacific "Monterey Local" heads for home while passing Elkhorn, California in May of 1996. This local which ran from Watsonville Junction to the Monterey Branch has been wiped off the books due to low carloadings.
