FCA FNC cars with Takraf crane and locomotive GT26 2985 parked at Vespasiano yard. The train arrived yesterday night to work in the Christmas holiday to remove the covered hoppers derailed at km 628.
This was over at Chappelle Junction. At first I thought it was a Combine or a Cold Planer. But, it was a Crane, and what appears to be a Trackmobile behind the bank.
I've been looking forward to capture one of these, after seing photos of them on RRF for years. This gon is part of ~15 piece MOW set that includes gondolas loaded with ties, a BRANDT truck, tampers, tie cranes and more casual MOW equipement like hi-rail trucks.

CN 461-20 is a specialized hi-rail crane. Although you cannot see it in the photo, he's actually standing on rail. I've only seen a similar machine since once, CN 461-13 at the Portage JCT MOW shops (Winnipeg) later that year.
Couple years later a fellow Saskatoon Railfan, Elijah, caught it...

1988 KERSHAW CN 130861, 130 ton crane based out of Winnipeg, MB - one of two such cranes on the system (as of 2005 CN had 14 hi-rail cranes ranging from 60 to 150 tons)
