Silent Sentinels

This photo was taken around September 2000 in Milesburg, PA on the ex-PRR Bald Eagle branch. This signal bridge guards the branch to Bellefonte. It was taken using a Hasselblad 500 C/M with a 135mm lens. Film was TMAX 100 and was printed on Ilford MGIV fiber paper (8"x10"). The scan was done on an HP 4c scanner which doesn't do the print any justice.
I don't know, it sure caught my eye. I like it!

Tip: scan as full color instead of mono. It's still not perfect -- flatbeds tend to lose some grey tonality -- but it's better than the mono setting by far.
