A solid blue and yellow set of power led by Santa Fe GP39-2 #3600 leads eastbound tonnage up the main approaching Tunnel #2 at the west end of Bealville in Tehachapi Pass on February 6, 1988.
EMD built the 3600 (s/n 74602-1) in August 1974 and delivered it in yellow warbonnet.

After a time painted in SPSF red and yellow and numbered ATSF 3100; it was returned to yellow warbonnet and renumbered ATSF 3600 before December 1988.

It was retired and returned to the lessor in December 1992.

The Willamette & Pacific Railroad Co. acquired it in June 1993 and it became WPRR 2301.

In 2000 it became Portland & Northwestern 2301. It is painted orange and black and is named Sheridan.
