CN's one unit wonder

CN's one unit wonder

While one unit wonders are fairly common on CP, they're rare on CN. When they happen though, it's ussually with a SD40-2/SD40-2(W) or a Dash 9-44CW for power, not a draper taper! CN 5522, SD60F, leads a mixed train which had some new hoppers on it.

You can also see "Portage JCT" in the photo.
How true! Before (2 years ago) 3 engines used to be fairly common on intermodals and heavy mixes, but now its almsot always 2 engines, as for the branchline I live on, now its almost exlusively solo work, when before 2 EMD's were normal.
