199 charges on with the usual 3 motors and an unusually short train. This was the first time I've seen K-Line containers riding the CN!
Is 199 the Prince Rupert - Chicago train? I've been wondering how Prince Rupert will do in light of the slowdown in container shipments from Asia.

I wonder if CN will be cutting container trains or will they be shorter?

Not quite, 199 is the Chicago-Prince Rupert train. It hauls pretty much everything the CP would usually get...Cosco and K-Line included.

As far as train length is concerned, I can't place any judgement there. It varies by the train. CN 104, which preceeded the 199, was very long.
