Along the Hudson

SPL-171, a fan trip that traveled the former West Shore line from Hoboken, NJ. to Selkirk, NY. and return, crosses Popolopen Creek in Fort Montgomery, NY. on July. 23, 1988. Framing the scene is the Bear Mountain Bridge which carries U.S. Rt. 6 over the Hudson River. The train was powered by three of the Morristown & Erie's Alco's, the 16/C-430, 18/C-424, and 17/C-430. The two C-430's are former NYC units and the C-424 came from the TP&W.
