BNSF's Lowline local.

The Lowline crosses the Snake River. This is the site of a 1541 foot long bridge with a 367 foot long swing span that was completed in 1884. The bridge was rebuilt in 1971 using 5 fixed spans and a lift span to replace the swing span. The lift span still rests on the original granite piers. This shot is taken from my boat on a warm spring evening.
