Hello All,

I will be interviewing with the Union Pacific railroad next Tuesday. I am flying from Memphis to Wyoming to attend, so I am very serious about it. Years ago when I was 18 I was involved with the wrong people and was involved in a burglary. I was 18 years old and since then have never been in any type of trouble. I had a judicial diversion, completed my probation, and it was expunged from my record. I have been hired by other companies after this with no problems and have run numerous checks on myself with nothing to show.

My question is "Do I need to bring this up during the interview?". I would rather not, but I'm not 100% sure that they will be able to pull it up. The lady at the court house said it is not a public record and only the FBI has a copy. I really don't want to shoot myself in the foot here and mess up this opportunity.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Nope. You are only being dishonest if they ask you about any criminal record and you lie about it. Most the time they do not ask as it would show up in a background check. Expunged means removed from all records. You should be OK.
