Looking more like the photo was taken in Oregon or Washington states, the daily MRVWS on the UP Martinez Sub accelerates in Run-8 through Rodeo (pronounced ROW-DAY-OH), California on a gloomy overcast day. This photo was taken from an overpass which conveniently had a hole in the chainlink fence.
Highlighted by a westbound UP Z-Train making it's way to Oakland. This train must've been close to 2 miles long as it took nearly 5 minutes to pass! This is the daily ZNPOA.

How do train crews get time to eat when on duty? Are they allowed to go to the nearest fast food joint by the tracks if time allows? I recently heard a UP freight in a siding waiting for MoW to clear up and they asked if they had time to get food.
Thanks for your input!

Here is the result of some afternoon railfanning along San Pablo Bay in Rodeo, CA. This is Lone Tree Point, an East Bay Regional Park. It's a safe and interesting place to view trains.
As always, feedback and comments are welcome.
Enjoy!
This is my longest and hopefully best video so far! I've taken the time to really narrow in my editing skills and keep things interesting thanks to feedback from all of you! Please don't hesitate to leave feedback positive or negative. I'm taking all comments into consideration for future...
A rainy day at Pinole made for some great shots of train on the Cal-P. Included are many Amtrak California trains, a new Siemens SC-44 Charger, EB Coal Empties, and WB Double-stacks.
Enjoy!
Please leave feedback for improvements or stuff I'm doing well. I apologize for the wind noise...
The UP 844 rolled in to Omaha yesterday afternoon, sporting a new black nose. For years its been silver. The red mars light was also removed during the rebuild.
Wish I would have had more time to get out and chase it across the plains.

Enjoy this video of UP and BNSF trains passing through Binney Junction in California. This is a major junction between the Union Pacific's North-South Valley Subdivision to Dunsmuir, and the Sacramento Subdivision to Oroville and eventually the Feather River Canyon.
