NS daily local turn A45 leaves out from Sylacauga, AL headed West on the NS P-Line. Todays train is running long hood forward with the NS 3294. Built in June of 1978, this SD40-2 is now 32 years old and still looks spectacular!
NS 335, a Westbound Central of Georgia train, tops Trammells Hill as it readies for a meet with its counterpart, NS 334. It's a long 5+ mile, 1.16% descent down the hill into Sylacauga, AL from here for 335.
NS 75K, an empty coal train, has just left the NS N-Line and is seen here on the P-Line heading West in Childersburg, AL. This train works the Alabama Power Gaston Steam Plant in Wilsonville, AL. It accesses the plant via the P-Line by using the NS P-Line N-Line connector track in Childersburg.
NS 137 glides west between Hightower to the right (East) and Lipsy to the left (West). This location is set between Sylacauga and Bon Air, Alabama on the NS P-Line.
This west bound NS 137 is seen on the East end of Sylacauga, AL stretched out with the tail end still on Trammells Hill. The signal in the distance is the "Brickyard" signal.
