While on a family day trip, we stopped by the Tehachapi Loop and were able to capture a photograph of BNSF 7430 leading a train up and around the loop.
The Union Pacific 4552 leads this trio of non-flagged, non-flared SD70M's on a piggyback train at the Tehachapi Loop as seen from the Historical Marker on Woodford Tehachapi Road. The locomtives are UP 4552, UP 4651, and UP 4247.
With plenty of SP power distributed throughout this remarkable unit train, the loaded "Oil Cans" heads east around the Tehachapi Loop at Walong in Tehachapi Pass in 1985.
