This fine example of a lift trestle is now a walking bridge over the Arkansas River. This is the former Rock Island Line's trestle that crossed the river to access the depot just out of the picture to the right.

One of three towers in Blue Island, this one controls the crossing gates on Broadway Street, which crosses eight sets of tracks owned by three different railroads.
This was found on a lying on a beach on Whidbey Island, WA. The wooden frame lying at an angle seems to have four flanged wheels, as well as a small winch at one end. Several rails can also be seen lying around. I have no idea what exactly this was.
A "local" which runs from the UP in Dalhart down BNSF's Dalhart Sub to pick up/set out cars in the old RI yard here in Amarillo and return to Dalhart. I like UP's choice of power for this train. the old Rock Island Bridge is now used as a storage track for UP.
