    The BNSF railroad bridge across the Columbia River near Rock Island WA. It was built in the early 1890's as part of the Great Northern Railway. What makes this bridge somewhat unsual is that the bridge was later strengthened by adding an outer truss around the original truss.

    I had ridden my 1956 Matchless 500 single down to Bellingham on May 19, 1962 when I spotted this loco doing some switching. Sunny day, Kodachrome, Alco, what could be better? Even the boxcar and covered hoppers were GN! And check out that delivery truck in behind!Great day indeed.

    2 weeks ago me and wife were coming back from Leavenworth when we stopped in at Skykomish, Wa to see whats new in town. Nothing was, so I tried my hand at some night photography with Rocky the goat and a Christmas tree. Having a train go by also helps. Have a good Christmas one and all.
