EJ&E 654 comes into bright sunshine on the Illinois River Line (IRL). To the best of my knowledge, this is one of only 2 "J" SD-38's that still have the "J ball" logo on the nose, the other being 650. With the acquisition by CN, get 'em while you can.
EJ&E's newest addition to the roster, SW1500 460, leads a eastbound local through Pine Junction. 460 still retains its off-centered headlight from when it was owned by the SSW.
