We passed these Yellow UP's about 20 miles north of Guymon, Oklahoma - It caught up with us as we were taking more photos of UP 844 Steam as it was stopped for the night.
A coal train ahead of 844 ran into trouble, and almost had 844 shoving from the rear. Here she is heading down to help. They loaned a crewmember to the stricken train, and did not end up shoving her.
After a several-year major rebuild and many thousands of hours of labor, the UP 844 is back, making a break-in run to Denver and back, on the 5th of May, 2005.
