This Unit Has Been Around....

This Central Kansas Railway, (CKRY), unit (2503), has a long in service record. Ex SP 7756-4, SP 7703, ex SP 6600, ex NWPR 6600, ex OMLX 6600, ex HBRY 2503, and to CKRY 2503. And also rebuilt in April 1997 By Omnitrax at Loveland, Colorado.

I believe this old girl operated in Prince Albert when CTRW was very young (pre 2000). We had several GP35s that had been primed but not painted and were awaiting transport to the Pas, they operated for only a few months here and then made their way up. Along with them, several SD9s and the GP30 made the venture north. I love HBRY colours and I'm glad you got this pic.
