The Canadian At Banff

The true Canadian, headed by CP FP9 1414 in the days before VIA, pulls into Banff, AB. 9/12/78
Brings back fond memories. About a week later I boarded the eastbound out of Calgary headed for Montreal. Sat in coach and the dome all the way!

Beautiful! I had the chance to ride VIA's "Canadian" to Jasper. The scenery was great, but I still would love to ride it on CP through the Spiral Tunnels.

Oh I wish I was a weeee bit older to remember these units and the train before VIA took over. The day you took this photo, I was 3 months old ! I remember riding from Vancouver to Winnipeg when I was about 6....I had a blast !
