Rocky Then & Now

Back in 2009 I caught RMR 8016 (ex-UP nee CR GP40-2) trailing RMR 8012 (ex-CN GP40-2LW) at CP's Odgen yard in Calgary. Note that the engine had 'Rocky' the mountain sheep prominently displayed under the cab and on the front.

Fast forward to 2011, where I catch RMRX 8016 solo heading north in Squamish, now wearing generic 'Rocky Mountaineer' lettering and spotting a clean white nose. Don't feel bad if you don't like this paintscheme though, as RMR is currently repainting their entire fleet dark blue. Thus both these photos will soon be history, if they aren't already.
