Early morning is the best time to railfan Toronto's Union station. In addition to VIA & GO commuter trains, ONR & AMTRAK leave the station at about the same time.

The two services couldn't be more different however! The Maple Leaf has a modern P42 on the point, taking passengers to the metropolis of New York. ONR 697 has a freight engine, GP38-2 leading a rebuild MILW F7B deep into the sticks north of Toronto.
