Rack Loco in Stand-by

Very interesting trucks. Do the rack wheels run on their own motors or the drive rods? Thanks for the reply.
 
Greg, the rack wheels have their own motors. In normal tracks these motors use the drive rods to drive the normal wheels.

Note that this loco is used only for line maintenance; the normal rack locos are purely electric.
