Elijah, just a little further west and you wouldn't see the fence! I tried this technique before, but got similar results, hence I now shoot through the hole in the fence, occasionally utilizing CN's No Treespassing signs are Tripods.

PS. How did you like their smell? I'm not sure myself if it's appropriate to post a picture, might make someone puke at their screen.
 
A little further west, and I wouldent be able to get to the east side of the tracks. I also do not recall anything smelling strange on the site, either.
