Coopersville & Marne volunteers bring out the crane to put the tie crane back on the rails.

Taken near Marne, MI on Saturday, April 16, 2005.
What's the Coopersville & Marne, I've never heard of it? I'm guessing a tourist railway since you mention volunteers?

The C&M is indeed a tourist railway. They run on 6 miles of track, with about 6 or 7 more leased out for freight. April is trackwork month, so I was out helping the 'regulars' replace ties. Not much got done that day, as half the time we were busy rerailing equipment.

Nice shot. One I'm sure your co-workers wished you hadn't posted but it's part of railroading.
