Oil Cans through Tehachapi Pass

Lead SP SD40T-2 #8236 works the main with the eastbound "Oil Cans" at Woodford in Tehachapi Pass in 1984. Between the headend power and the helpers, it was quite a symphony of pure SP!
Whatever happened to the oilcan trains? Are they still running? Were they replaced by a pipeline? Did the oilfields playout? Just curious.

Thanks all for the comments and ratings!

The "Cans" are still running, but they run on the former SP Coastline route now.
