NW 518683

NW 518683 and 518618 are bringin' up the rear as train ND29 arrives at the CN's Boat Yard in Windsor Ontario Jan 23/89. The train, less locomotives and caboose, will travel on to Detroit Michigan via the NW's tug and barge fleet.
That's interesting that the N&W ran trains in Canada. Does the NS have tracks in Canada now? Just curious.
 
To answer a question from "Curious", The Wabash Railway and subsequently the N&W and NS have had operating rights over various railroads in Canada since 1898. They ran from Buffalo to Detroit providing a bridge route from New York to Michigan It was known as the Buffalo Division. The agreement was terminated Jan 31/06.
