NS Southbound Freight Train 339 at Birmingham, Al. ( 32nd Street Interlocking )
I hate to say it, but most of the people I talk to that runs the locals between Neosho and Siloam Springs say that these things aren't expensive to run if you understand what i mean by that. In other words, they run like crap, but that is what the people I talk to say. As for me though, that this is a great shot Will!

Thanks Mike, These GP40-2L'S are very rare to get on the point around here anymore. Back in the early to late 90's they were more common than they are now. NS 220 out of Dallas, Tx. was always a hot prospect for 3 to 5 of the GP40-2/ GP40-2L'S. Now it's very difficult to even see 1 KCS unit at all on the NS 220, but on rare occasions it does still occur. I do see plenty of KCS around here in Birmingham with the NS 340/339 & the CSXT Q522/Z776 that runs out of Artesia/ Tuscaloosa. Watco will soon be taking over the KCS operations out of Artesia to Birmingham. They have several black SD40-2'S that were former UP with yellow ends & WAMX lettering.
