CP 6553, one of 301 such units owned by CP (ALCO/MLW S2-S11, RS2-3 & RS23), all off roster by 1997, though most were retired earlier in the 80s replaced by refurbished GP7/9s & SW units. This is one of ten preserved engines, sister 6568 is on display in Saskatoon.

A number are still working however, including ex-CN 8454 a couple blocks away at the Parrish & Heimbecker elevator (CN had 452 such engines, oddly only one S-12 got preserved).
