MILW, Othello WA, after shutdown

It is the second week of March, 1980. The MILW has shut down the Pacific extension and the only trains operating are eastbound cleanup trains. Here is what we found at Othello one Saturday. 5502, U28B on ready track. Notice missing MILW hearld on cab side.

I like your photo above because you got up close to this locomotive and captured all of its details. Too many photographers think they need to back up and get the entire loco in the frame. Instead of backing up, you did the right thing and walked up closer to it, with this nice result.

The bent plow is a neat detail. I'll bet it was due to the loco dropping onto the ground somewhere. Also, is it just me or is the horn bent upwards?
