Meet at the creek (1)

We were fortunate enough to pick the right place and the right time on May 29, 1995 to catch two sets of trains passing each other in opposite directions. The first pair was Metro-North trains 8841 (at left, northbound) and 8844 (at right, southbound) passing on the causeway crossing Annsville Creek in Peekskill, NY. at 17:06.

Technically yes! There was one sitting at the Croton shop when I visited on June 26, 2010. I have seen reports that it has since been scrapped however. Probably used on work trains until this year.

The only place you'll see an FL-9 running in Connecticut with any degree of regularity from now on is the Naugatuck RR (RMNE) out of Thomaston. CDOT/NH 2019 will be operating on the "Northern Lights Limited" the first 3 weekends in Dec., 2010.
