At 260 feet (70 meters) underground, Washington Park is the deepest transit station in the US.
Phil,

Geez, how did you get the sharp picture? Definitely on a tri-pod.. What'ya shootin' these days?? My friend and I tried to shoot MAX and we had several operators ask us to not photography down there.. Even approached by a Portland Police officer about two people acting weird/strange with cameras down there.. Oh boy!!!

Thanks for the comment, Zach. Still shooting with my trusty Rebel XT. This was shot handheld, at 18mm, f/2.8, ISO 1600. Gave me a more-than-sufficient shutter speed of 1/125 (should have dropped the ISO to 800). I did add a touch of noise reduction in post-processing, but the image was pretty clean out of the camera.

I didn't encounter anyone telling me not to take photos. I was actually going to the zoo, so I wasn't underground for very long.
