RARW's tracks also cross Silver Bow Creek, which became known as $hit creek due to the water becoming so polluted by the smelting in Anaconda, which also caused the creek to give off an extreamley bad smell. Now, they're in the process of cleaning up the Silver Bow creek area at the Butte/Silver Bow Creek Superfund site.
