Loading Ramp at Parksville

Left over from the days when the E&N handled LCL freight, this loading ramp sits in the weeds at Parksville on the out of service Port Alberni Subdivision.

We have a few like that in the industrial park...

There's another one in the yard at Courtenay. The loading ramp is still in place but the team track has been removed recently. There's another one in Victoria that hasn't been used since the Pacific Wilderness was here.

Don't think so. It was probably used for loading/unloading gondolas with doors on the ends, they'd back the dumptruck up the ramp and onto the gondolas and dump the load, a front end loader could also have been used.
