Kodachrome X 4
I'll have to research the date, but I do remember meeting Joe McMillan (McMillan Publishing)at this location, so I knew something special was coming. (I have a shot of Joe's cars somewhere, it had the plate # "SPSF") We both set up on the northwest corner of the McCook diamond. I've never seen Joe's pictures from that day. I think this was the first full pre-merger train west with all repainted equipment.

The train is just east of the McCook, Illinois diamond, crossing the IHB heading west with the 199 train. I know for sure that the first three units are SD45's, #5348 & #5353, following is SF30C #9541 and an as yet unidentified 9500 series GE.

If anyone knows more information about this train, I'd appreciate hearing from you.
