KCS'S Vicksburg Sub

KCS Eastbound Freight Train at Delta, La.
I love traveling & seeing the railroads divisions/subdivisions in person. I've once heard railfans say why travel so far when you can see that railroad right here ? Well, it's not the same seeing foreign units such as KCS on another railroad. I like seeing foreign power on another railroad, but when I do that just intrigues me to go see the railroad in person to get as many of their units photographed as possible.

I'm 35 years old. Born 04/26/69. I started railroad photography in late 1988 & went to different train hot spots most every weekend rain or shine. Now I railfan differently than when I didn't work for the railroad & didn't care about the weather. I now only film trains in good lighting conditions ( sun only ) & I only film consists that I like. I used to go to hot spots & let the trains come to me & didn't care about the weather. Now I chase trains that have good consists & film them multiple times. Times have changed & I don't like filming GE Widecabs as much as I do EMD'S, unless they're foreign power. Particularly I hate NS C40-9W'S & CSXT GE Widecabs. On BNSF I don't care too much about filming the H-2 ( Pumpkin ) C44-9W'S, if I see C44-9W'S on BNSF they have to be Warbonnets for me to film them, unless they're the new AC4400CTE'S or any fresh painted unit. Of course I like filming any of the older GE'S & EMD'S in predecessor paint & any foreign power I can get. I just hate seeing the same consists over & over again. Now that I work for CSXT I have the advantage to trace locomotives that I want to film & run lineups to find the best consists I want to film.
