Still getting caught up from my weekend in Scranton, here are some images from Steamtown's annual Ice Harvest excursion train.

Morning temps below zero...midday in the teens. Four to six inches of snow. Blue skies and decorator clouds. It was PERFECT! My fourth Ice Train and the best one yet.

A special bonus this year...the intrepid Steamtown crew brought the locomotive a bit past the depot in Tobyhanna and performed a short runby in view of the Ice Harvest demonstration. I was standing out in the middle of a frozen pond to capture this image.
