Going Away Wet

This photo was taken in Northumberland, Pennsylvania on Sunday, September 19, 2004. This was the weekend the remains of hurricane Ivan visited the northeast and dumped over five inches of rain causing major flooding. These rails (part of the North Shore RR) were "going away" Sunday, right around the time the Susquehanna River crested, some six feet above flood stage.
Nice shot and very creative use of the topic.

good luck and thanx for entering.

By the way, the red building on the right side at the far end of the tracks is the concession stand for the Northumberland Little League baseball field. And yes, that's a lawn-tractor on the middle right.
